The incumbent will provide high level legal consultation, advice, and representation to the members of the Commissioners Court in conjunction with the Civil District Attorney’s office. Serves as the chief legal advisor to Commissioners Court and coordinates all legal matters related to this function. This position will not perform any civil duties statutorily prescribed to the District Attorney’s office without the consent of the District Attorney. Law degree with six (6) years of experience practicing law. At least three (3) of those years practicing advanced law in civil matters, with extensive knowledge of the public sector. Current license to practice law in the State of Texas and experience handling complex, legal matters. Ability to work with five strong top executives of the county.
