Trial Skills Section
The Trial Skills Section is devoted to the art, science and practice of trial advocacy. The Section promotes the continuing advancement of trial skills of members of the legal community by the open exchange of ideas, continuing legal education, communication between the bar and bench, and the mutual respect and collegiality between members of the bar.
The Trial Skills Section generally meets at the Belo on the second Friday of each month for CLE presentations, which are free to our members. For questions or comments regarding upcoming presentations, please contact Bill Mateja at mateja@fr.com.

Charla G. Aldous - Aldous Law Firm
Please join the Trial Skills Section on Friday May 11th at noon in the Belo Mansion for a presentation by Charla G. Aldous on winning strategies for trials. Mrs. Aldous’ courtroom experience has covered a wide variety of cases, from catastrophic motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, products liability, wrongful death, professional liability lawsuits, contract disputes, and toxic tort cases. She has handled more than 100 jury trials for plaintiffs and defendants. Ms. Aldous is a graduate of Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law.
