Frank Stevenson Elected SBOT Chair of the Board

Dallas Bar Association Past President Frank E. Stevenson II, a Partner at Locke Lord LLP, has been elected Chair of the Board of the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Stevenson will take office during the State Bar Annual Meeting June 14-15.
Mr. Stevenson has been a member of the Dallas Bar for more than 25 years and has held numerous positions within the association, including serving as President of the DBA in 2008. He was the first chair of the DBA’s Summer Law Intern program, and he chaired the Campaign for Equal Access to Justice and the New Member committees. In 1995 he received the Jo Anna Moreland Outstanding Committee Chairman Award. During his tenure as President the DBA received the State Bar of Texas Award of Merit.
He has served on the State Bar of Texas Board of Directors since 2010 and is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a sustaining life fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and the Dallas Bar Foundation and a life fellow of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Foundation. He has also served on the Dallas Bar Foundation’s board since 2007.
In addition to his service in the legal field, Mr. Stevenson also sits on the board of various community service organizations, including North Dallas Chamber of Commerce, Sammons Center for the Arts and Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas. And, having achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, he continues to serve the group as an assistant scoutmaster.
Mr. Stevenson, a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, has practiced administrative, transportation, real estate and finance law for more than 30 years.
