CPR: International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution
Topic – Overview of new CPR administered arbitration rules effective July 1, 2013.
CPR launches new administered arbitration rules effective July 1. This timely presentation explains how these rules will work and how they expand arbitration choices through CPR. Discussion includes the important new CPR initiative, the CPR 21st Century Corporate ADR Pledge. Learn how it differs from the initial Pledge that CPR launched in 1984, which was signed by 4,000 operating companies.
The International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR) is the leading non-profit independent resource helping global business and their lawyers resolve complex commercial disputes more cost effectively and efficiently. For more than 30 years, the legal community has trusted CPR to deliver superior arbitrators and mediators and innovative solutions to business conflict. CPR remains a dynamic and pioneering organization with a solid reputation for excellence and innovation in ADR.
The nation’s top litigators historically have relied on CPR’s non–administered rules to resolve high-value, complex legal disputes. In response to users’ requests, CPR now offers Administered Arbitration Rules for those requiring an administering authority. As more worldwide companies sign CPR’s Corporate Policy Statement on Alternatives to Litigation, International Pledge Agreements and the 21st Century Corporate ADR Pledge, CPR has witnessed an increased demand for administered arbitration rules. CPR’s Administered Arbitration Rules were drafted by users for users and offer the greatest degree of flexibility and control available, while minimizing overall costs.
CPR 21st Century Corporate ADR Pledge: "Our company pledges to commit its resources to manage and resolve disputes through negotiation, mediation and other ADR processes when appropriate, with a view to establishing and practicing global, sustainable dispute management and resolution processes."
The June presentation is accredited for 1 hour MCLE credit.
